Outpatient
An MRI scan is one of the most useful investigations in the spine. As they work by visualising water all tissue including discs and bone are seen. This is a big advantage over x-rays. They allow a non-invasive way of investigating the spine. The interpretation of scans is the most important part and should be done with the patient present to allow analysis against individual symptoms.
