Dr Dominic Aldington F.R.C.A.
Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine
Before studying medicine Dr Aldington obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Chemistry and Administrative Sciences at The City University in London. He then studied medicine at St. George’s Hospital Medical School in London.
Having qualified as a doctor he went on to become a Consultant Anaesthetist. During this training he spent six months concentrating on interventional pain management techniques at Queen Alexandra’s Hospital in Portsmouth. This period was followed by a year at the internationally renowned Oxford Regional Pain Relief Unit.
He is a member of the British Pain Society and the International Association for the Study of Pain. He regularly delivers educational talks and workshops on pain topics to a number of medical audiences and undertakes research in pain problems.
He is a Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
He is a Consultant in Pain Medicine and Clinical Director of the Oxford Regional Pain Relief Unit where he holds a part time honorary contract that allows him to undertake independent practice.
